CELEBRATING SNEAKERS AS AN ART FORM : CREATIVE WORKSHOPS AND TRUNK SHOW

(English) Kicking off under the sun, this month JOYCE orbits around the humble sneaker and all things urban as we have Hong Kong’s Flying Hawk studio and up and coming artist Ronin running sneaker customization workshops, where you can kick-lovers can customize an iconic model and take home their own one-of-a-kind pair of sneakers.

Alongside will also be a trunk show of sneaker objet d’art at JOYCE Central from 15-30 October, with unique pieces by Edinburgh sculptor Alasdair Thomson, Californian custom label B Street Shoes, kawaii kicks from Hong Kong-based Great Scott Custom, Chinese porcelain artisans Yeenjoy Studios, and Hong Kong artist Vase by Su: all cementing (literally) the sneaker’s status as an art form.
