Liam Wong explores Tokyo streets after dark on foot, by bicycle or by taxi, when the trains stop running after 23:59:59 to take photos. This approach allows a foot on the ground perspective of areas that might otherwise go unnoticed. His photos were mainly composed of people, streetscapes, and building architecture that have been later edited to have a futuristic appearance making them look cyberpunk. His love of films like Akira, Ghost in the Shell together with his admiration of futurist concept art designer Syd Mead who envisioned the background of Blade Runner, inspired a fresh reimagination of a hypnotic, moody and vibrant Tokyo.
