Marking the debut window display at the new JOYCE Pacific Place flagship, discover a visual showcase of Fall Winter 2022 runway pieces from Thom Browne.
The exceptional tailoring and idiosyncratic expressions of individuality synonymous with the modern American designer are the perfect embodiment of the bold era embarked upon by JOYCE through the latest flagship.
Directional, statement-making window displays are synonymous with JOYCE, and the theme of this debut window display leans into that ethos and the whimsical, playful point of view of Thom Browne, by featuring theatrical runway looks placed in front of rows of teddy bears sitting to attention on chairs – a nod to academia inspiration that is regularly favoured by Browne.
The result is a concept that celebrates uniqueness. “It’s so nice when you find your true self and you stay true to that,” Thom Browne told Vogue the day of the collection’s runway debut.
The Fall Winter 2022 collection celebrates ballooning proportions, colourful patchworks, bubble midi skirts, diagonally striped prom dresses, and plenty of references to toys and childlike wonder. This expressive spirit is paired with the immaculate precision and tailored codes that underpin Browne’s creations.
Six key runway looks – Look 3, Look 7, Look 9, Look 11, Look 23, and Look 39 – referred to by Thom Browne as “toys” – feature in the playful and dramatic JOYCE Pacific Place window.
