BUDAPEST, SPA AND THE CITY

Budapest is gifted with unique geographical features that provide the city with “health through water”—the Latin phrase “sanitas per acqua” from which the word spa originates.

Dubbed as the official “International SPA city”, healing properties of Hungarian thermal water were discovered 2,000 years ago, the bathing culture since developed lures people all over the world to travel to Budapest, just to take a dip.

Budapest is home to more thermal springs than any other capital city in the world and boasts over 450 public spas and bath houses, including Omorovicza’s very own Rácz Spa. These healing waters are what inspired their founders to create Omorovicza, harnessing the power of these healing waters to produce truly transformative skincare. Bathing and attending spas is at the very heart of Hungarian culture, central not just to skincare routines but to overall wellbeing.
