JOYCE brings London-based emerging Chinese designers home

01 Mar 2013

  • JOYCE is delighted to announce a pop-up store set up at JOYCE, Lee Gardens to celebrate the new designs by three talented young Chinese designers: Patrick Li, Robert Wun and Ryan Lo. The pop-up store will last from now till 14th March.

ROBERT WUNRobert Wun is a luxury fashion label, aimed to create ingenious garments with sophistication visions, to inspire independent individuals who carry originality beliefs. The chaos between Nature and artificial forms the centre of the design ethos, through resourcing in the novelty nature and the revolutionary artificial world, Robert Wun believes in such contradiction, promising ideas will be generated through the process of perplexity.

PATRICK LIPatrick Li is a Chinese-born London based designer. Having completed a Fashion Design and Business Studies BA at the University of Brighton, Patrick went on to further develop his design acumen with an MA Fashion Womenswear at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 2011. He gained work experience with Hussien Chalayan and Victor & Rolf.

RYAN LOBorn in Hong Kong, Ryan LO spent a significant part of his formative years in London, where he attended university and met amazing individuals like Charles Anastase, with whom he honed his skills. Drawing inspirations from current pop culture and a childlike notion of girliness, Ryan crafts his designs with an unconventional DIY approach having taught himself to knit from YouTube tutorials. His rule breaking, maximalist sensibility sees him manipulating anything from tulle, tinsel and ribbons into extraordinary knitted creations.
