Joyce attended the “Lanvin: I Love You” book launch in Paris and will be hosting the Hong Kong launch in Joyce Central.
Fashion insiders such as Anna Della Russo and Catherine Baba all gathered at Alber Elbaz’s studio during Paris fashion Week to review the book and have their copies signed by the designer. They were received by a warm welcome with a festive dining table, which was filled with “pop-tastic” donuts, pies, ice-creams and sandwiches, all made in deceiving plastic and fabric. Elbaz proclaimed, “It’s a feast and no one is getting fat!”
The set up of the event reflects the very essence of “Lanvin: “I Love You” — a hard cover Rizzoli tome, celebrating the label’s notably whimsical installations. The 260-page book features 200 colour photos window displays of the Paris flagship on the Rue du Faubourg-Saint Honoré, one-off installations at the Crillon and Art Basel in Miami, as well as unpublished renderings of concepts hand-drawn by Elbaz. Some of the iconic displays including a “car crash scene” — mannequins were “stuck” under the car with the shopping bags of shoes and bags all spilling out . Elbaz explained, “I never think about how to sell the dress in the window displays, it’s about creating a dream. The shop window is the most direct way to invite customers from the streets to go inside the world of Lanvin.”
And now you can bring the magical world of Lanvin home. Joyce Central is currently dedicated its window and set up to the “Lanvin: I Love you” as we are the stockist of the collector-worthy coffee table books, as well as the host of the Hong Kong book launch. So come and join us and immerse yourself in Elbaz’s fantastical dream.
