Etro hosted an exclusive cocktail on April 14 where the brand also unveiled a new exhibition, The Etro Arnica Exhibition, dedicated to its classic and timeless Arnica print bags. The exhibition will remain on view to the public until April 17, 2011. The event on April 14 ended in great success, gathering top spenders of Etro, fashionistas, socialites, fashion editors and celebrities at the oval atrium of ifc mall.
Etro’s Arnica (paisley) print has become an icon of the house since it was developed 25 years ago by Gimmo Etro. Developed from his collection of rare antique scarves, this whimsical paisley design features a combination of colours including red, turquoise, olive, yellow, olive green and ivory. It first appeared in the brand’s home collection, before making its way onto the first Arnica bag in 1982. It quickly became the house’s most iconic print and the line of handbags has since evolved to include over 150 new styles each season. In conjunction with the event, Etro has designed a limited edition Arnica bag exclusively for JOYCE.
