  • At the beginning of each season, JOYCE latest project sees the retailer collaborate with five up and coming artists and illustrators from across the globe, including Devin McGrath, Carne Griffiths, Simon Prades, Violeta Hernández and Vasilj Godzh.

Each artist has created an exclusive artwork for JOYCE, which has been used as decoration on a series of metal eggs. Customers who spend HK$10,000 net or more on any items in shops, can draw one of these eggs from a specially designed vending machine. Inside each egg customers can uncover one of many exciting prizes and offers including gift vouchers, special bonus offers, cash vouchers and the top prize of a JOYCE gift certificate worth HK$10,000. This unique shopping experience is available at JOYCE and monobrand stores from 17th March to 9th April 2012.

Devin McGrath is an independent artist and designer originally hailing from Australia. McGrath is known for his surrealist landscapes and has developed a prolific body of work that has been featured in esteemed publications such as Faesthetic, Popshot, and IDN.

A graduate of Maidstone College of Art in Britain, Griffiths’ artwork is born from a love of drawing and the journey of creating an image. Working primarily with calligraphy ink, graphite and liquids, such as tea, brandy and vodka, he sketches and then manipulates the drawn line.

Simon Prades studied graphic design at the University of Applied Sciences in Trier, Germany. His interest lies in illustration, book design and etching. His detailed ink drawings are a combination of lines and colour.

A graphic designer and illustrator from Mexico, Hernández’s work centres on feminine aesthetics, and is imbued with romance.

Godzh was born in Russia. After finishing University he moved to Moscow. He is currently working on a solo exhibition.
